Sara Studebaker-Hall, two-time Olympian and U.S. Biathlon Director of Operations, was recently re-elected to the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Technical Committee during the 17th Ordinary IBU Congress in Berchtesgaden, Germany.
“It’s an honor to be re-elected to the IBU Technical Committee, especially with such a strong vote of confidence from our biathlon family,” said Studebaker-Hall. “I am looking forward to working hard with my colleagues over the next four years to continue to move biathlon forward in a safe and fair way for all our stakeholders.”
After serving on the IBU Technical Committee from 2022-2026, Studebaker-Hall will begin a second term that runs through 2030. U.S. Biathlon is proud to have her continue representing the United States within IBU leadership and contributing to the continued development of the sport internationally.
“Not only was Sara re-elected to the IBU Technical Committee, but she received the most votes of any candidate - a testament to the incredible respect she has earned throughout the biathlon family," said Jack Gierhart, U.S. Biathlon President & CEO. "Her expertise, leadership and commitment to the sport are clearly recognized across the IBU, and we’re proud to have her representing the United States. This strong vote of confidence bodes well for Sara’s continued leadership and contributions within the IBU over the next four years.”
