Personal: Hobbies: biking, wake skating, reading, watching movies, playing video games, building snow forts, go-kart racing, and traveling. My favorite place I have been is any place in Europe. My favorite food is mango. My top three movies are "Interstellar", "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" (extended, of course) and "Rush".

More on Etienne: I began skiing when I was 3 years old through the Strider Glider Progam in Tahoe City, California. I was very into downhill skiing until I met August Teague who brought me over to Nordic skiing in 2015-2016 and has become one of my best coaches as well as one of my best friends. I still enjoy downhill skiing very much and will do it often enough. I was introduced to biathlon at Auburn Ski Club through Glenn Jobe (former biathlon Olympian) in July of 2017 and then became national champion nine months later. I have an older brother who is currently on the APU elite ski team and he has helped guide me through my sports. My late father was French and became a multiple-time French national champion as well as multiple-time European champion in go-kart racing and then went on to qualify for Formula 3. Then he went on to serve at the French 27 BCA for a year. After the military, he became a ski patroller in Val d’Isere when he met my mom. My mom is the smart one of my family, having a master’s degree in counseling and educational psychology. She has traveled abroad her whole life and has lived in several countries. My family has always enjoyed traveling and participating in sports together.
