This role serves as the primary coach for the National Development Team (NDT) and emerging talent transfer - “X Team” - athletes, while also acting as Head Coach / Trip Leader for the IBU Cup circuit. The position plays a critical role in aligning athlete development with Senior National Team performance objectives.

U.S. Biathlon is seeking a Head Physiology Coach to serve as a central knowledge resource and performance consultant across all National Team programs. This role is designed to support coaches and athletes through a combination of high-level planning, technical expertise, and targeted on-the-ground intervention. The Head Physiology Coach will collaborate closely with all Head Coaches and staff to enhance training quality, improve ski speed, and optimize athlete development trajectories. This position is intentionally flexible and may be tailored to the experience and availability of the successful candidate.
