by Sara Studebaker-Hall
“I'm excited to start working with Brian to bring the best support possible for our Junior National Team,” said US Biathlon Director of Athlete Development, Tim Burke. “Brian's energy and enthusiasm for biathlon are unmatched, and I know that will be beneficial to our developing athletes. With Brian relocating to Bozeman, this should also give a nice coaching boost to CrossCut, which is one of our fastest-growing clubs.”
Halligan has worked with US Biathlon in the past, helping to coach several European race trips and camps and working to support developing athletes. Most recently, Brian has been the Biathlon Program Director for Auburn Ski Club. He is excited to step up to a role within the Junior National Team right away.
"I am super excited to join USBA and help the organization achieve its development goals,” said Halligan. “I look forward to working closely with the USBA coaching staff and U.S. club coaches to guide our nation's juniors towards successful biathlon careers."
With many of the Junior National Team athletes training out of Bozeman, Montana, Brian will relocate to best support that group. He’ll be traveling to all JNT camps, as well as supporting the team at competitions throughout the season, both domestically and internationally.
