Midway, UT & Brillion, WI - Ariens Nordic Center, an official U.S. Biathlon National Training Center, is set to host the 2025 U.S. Biathlon Midwest Regional Summer Championship, July 19-20, the second of three regional roller ski championship events this summer.

“We are excited to host these aspiring young athletes who are looking to compete at a higher level,” said Ariens Director of Sport Operations and Athlete Development Sean Becker. “The expertise and experience that coaches Gregg Pattison, Brian Halligan, Holly Hanson and Ben Lund brought to the high performance camp, are helping these athletes reach their individual goals. The camp has been a great primer leading into the Midwest Regional Championship races this weekend.”

In addition to the Midwest Regional Summer Championship event, Ariens Nordic Center is currently hosting its second-ever biathlon high performance camp this week, July 14-18. Participating athletes have the chance to learn from U.S. Biathlon Junior National Team Head Coach Brian Halligan at the high performance camp, offering an opportunity to sharpen their skills before being put to the test on the world-class biathlon range and roller ski loop at Ariens Nordic Center this weekend. Spectators are invited to attend the races at no cost!

The 2025 U.S. Biathlon Summer Championships Series consists of three race weekends throughout the summer. The Western Regional Summer Biathlon Championships took place at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center June 21-22, Ariens Nordic Center will host the Midwest Regional Summer Biathlon Championships, and Ethan Allen Biathlon Club will host the final Eastern Regional Summer Biathlon Championships, in conjunction with U.S. Biathlon Summer Nationals, August 2-3.

“I am fired up to be headed back to Brillion this weekend to support the second annual Midwest Regional Summer Biathlon Championships and to witness some great summer racing,” said U.S. Biathlon Director of Sport Development John Farra. “The Ariens Nordic Center venue is ideal for summer training and racing with fun, flowy roller ski loops leading into their world class 20-point biathlon range. I am looking forward to seeing our developing youth and juniors as well as our senior and masters biathletes put on a bib to test themselves. Summer is a great time for biathlon racing with fewer conflicts and far fewer layers to wear! I am excited to see how the racing transpires in the next two race series to wrap up the summer season.”
