deuter teams up with U.S. Biathlon as official backpack and luggage provider

deuter is supplying the whole U.S. Biathlon Team and entourage with deuter travel bags and accessories. Starting this season, this exciting partnership will support world-class biathletes from U.S. Biathlon.

The sport of biathlon combines the elite athletic performance of cross-country skiing, with the precision and focus required for rifle target shooting . This year, German backpack pioneer deuter has partnered with U.S. Biathlon  to equip the entire team and entourage with duffel bags and accessories to help with the smooth running of their logistics. This exciting new partnership is further proof of deuter’s status as a trusted partner for performance athletes at the peak of their careers. Light weight, durability, a responsible approach and excellent support are all traits that deuter is known and respected for around the world.

The U.S. Biathlon team, including athletes, physios, coaches, ski technicians, managers and trustees, among others, have been given the following bags and accessories (all adorned with U.S. Biathlon logos) to keep them on top of their game while they navigate the season:

• The Duffel Pro 90 and Duffel Pro Movo 90 – absolute powerhouses for hauling gear around the world.
• The Duffel Pro 60 –with backpack-style convenience for life on the road.
• Plus the roll-out Wash Bag II and larger Wash Center II to keep all their toiletries secure and well organized.

Summer training for biathletes covers a range of disciplines. Which is why the athletes were also given biking backpacks, trail running packs and hip bags. These included the Traick running vest made from ultra-breathable stretch fabric, plus the Rogla and Compact models, with streamlined vest-style convenience. Hydration is key here, and these packs offer ample space and a snug fit with zero load wobble – for optimum race training.

An official ‘Outfitting Event’ took place in Bavaria on 9, November, at the headquarters of apparel brand and fellow outfitter, Maloja. At this event, biathletes from the U.S.A. team were presented with deuter’s range of products.

Like all deuter products, these bags and packs are made without the use of harmful PFAS chemicals. They are also ClimatePartner certified and carry the Green Button label. Confirmed athletes competing in the biathlon World Cup which kicks off at the end of November in Norway, so far include Campbell Wright, Maxime Germain, Chloe Levins and Joanne Reid.
