The U.S. women fought hard in today’s 4x6km relay, showing grit and perseverance from the opening leg to the finish. While the results didn’t sway the team’s way, they never let up, battling through challenging moments on the range and staying competitive on the course.

France’s quartet of Camille Bened, Oceane Michelon, Lou Jeanmonnot, and Julia Simon captured the gold medal, followed by Sweden in second and Norway in third.

Deedra Irwin delivered a solid opening leg for Team USA, using just one spare round in each shooting stage to tag off in 13th. Luci Anderson did not have things go her way on the range, skiing two penalty laps, but continued to battle on skis. The third leg saw Margie Freed clean her prone stage and fought hard on the final lap after a penalty loop in standing, holding off pressure to keep the team in the race. Joanne Reid anchored the relay with composure, cleaning prone and using just one spare in standing to bring the team across the finish line in 18th.
