International Biathlon Day Celebrated Around the U.S.

May 24, 2025 marked the first-ever International Biathlon Day, a day to celebrate the sport of biathlon and bring communities together worldwide. Through try-it events, collaborative training sessions, potlucks, barbecues, and more, U.S. Biathlon clubs around the country took part in the celebration, showcasing the sport’s fun, inclusive spirit. 


The National Team met up with the US Para Biathlon team in Bend, Oregon during the recent training camp at Mt. Bachelor to try their hand at air rifle targets.

Ariens Nordic Center hosted a “Take a Shot” event with obstacle courses, biathlon races, and both .22 and laser rifle try-it opportunities. 

Craftsbury Outdoor Center celebrated by hosting a junior practice with guests from Craftsbury's Green Racing Project - a blend of Sprigs & Spriglets! Following the practice, the club hosted a potluck with athletes and family members!

Soldier Hollow hosted the local community for both a try-biathlon and try rollersking session!

WA Biathlon hosted a biathlon clinic for the local community! Lots of smiling faces!

Up in Homer, Alaska, McNeil Canyon Biathlon had 16 of their youth-aged kids go through the Biathlon Rifle Safety Course, and then held an in-person safety assessment by Alaska Regional Coordinator, Steve Wilson!
