New venue, same thrill. Biathlon action returns this weekend at the first-ever Loop One Festival, taking place October 18-19, 2025, at Munich’s iconic Olympiapark. Just 5 weeks until the first World Cup races in Oestersund, Sweden, the new event marks the official start of the international biathlon season, combining fast-paced racing with a vibrant festival atmosphere in the heart of the city.

Saturday’s program (October 18) will feature para and youth races, showcasing the sport’s future stars and adaptive athletes. On Sunday (October 19), the spotlight shifts to the elite field, where the world’s top biathletes will go head-to-head through qualifying heats and a thrilling Super Sprint final. Campbell Wright, Maxime Germain, and Paul Schommer will represent the U.S. in this high-energy season opener.
