2026 Senior Nationals Race Cancellation, Spring Festival Event Update

After meeting with the staff at Soldier Hollow and looking at current conditions coupled with the coming week's forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Senior Nationals. Anyone who has registered will receive a full refund in the coming days.

But wait! It's an Olympic year - the end of one quad and the start of a new one. We have athletes retiring and things to celebrate - so we still want to do that! We're inviting anyone who is in Utah or still planning to travel here to join us on Friday, March 27 for a shootout and end of season celebration (see details below). And, in case the weather gods are a little kinder to us than anticipated, if we have any snow to ski on, we'll hold a super sprint-type race on Saturday morning, March 28 (TBA and no guarantees!). We hope all our athletes, members, fans and volunteers who are in the area will join us at Soldier Hollow on the 27th to help close out the season and get a jump on snow-dances for next year!

Unofficial 2026 Spring Festival Schedule:

Friday, March 27: 

2:30pm - Shootout at SoHo (no sign up needed!)

4:00pm - 2025-26 Season Celebration! Come close out the season with us and enjoy a drink and appetizers with the biathlon family.

Saturday, March 28:

AM (TBA) - Very short, fun biathlon race, IF POSSIBLE! More details by Wednesday, March 25 (please note, this is NOT a National Championship event).

We'd also like to note that anyone really wanting a bit more competition is welcome to attend the Canadian National Championships March 24-29 in Canmore, Alberta. Registration is open until March 18 to accommodate anyone who would like to attend. More details here.
