MORE ON ALEX: Alex started skiing in middle school for Gilford Middle School and Gunstock Nordic. He was a multiple-time junior national champion and represented the U.S. at the J1 Scandinavian Cup and the Junior World Chmpionships. He went on to ski for the University of Vermont and helped the Catamounts win a NCAA Championship. Alex studied Ecological Agriculture at UVM. He joined the Craftsbury Green Racing Project in May of 2012 and raced his first biathlon races in February 2015. Following the 15/16 season, he was named to U.S. Biathlon's development program. He raced his first IBU Cup in Martell, Italy, in January of 2017.
