U.S Biathlon Announces 2024-25 Domestic Events Calendar, Crosscut Mountain Sports Center To Host U.S. Biathlon Senior Nationals

Midway, Utah - U.S. Biathlon announced the 2024-25 domestic events calendar, which includes a new layout of events. With the intent of maximizing the number of athletes competing for a National Championship title, this season’s Nationals will be broken up by age category, taking place over the course of the season.
“We’ve put a lot of thought and energy into how we can maximize participation across all athlete categories and are excited to introduce a new domestic race layout this season,” said U.S. Biathlon Director of Sport Development John Farra. “In 2023, we had the largest participation of youth and juniors at their International Team Trials, and with a large contingent of masters athletes expected from Canada coming to race the first NorAm Masters Championships next February, we have prioritized ensuring as many athletes as possible have the opportunity to race for National Championship medals this upcoming season.”
In years past, the largest gathering of U.S. Biathlon athletes, coaches and families has been at the annual U.S. Biathlon Nationals. This upcoming season will feature a National Championships event for each age category throughout the season, culminating in Bozeman, Montana at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, which has agreed to play host to the U.S. Biathlon Senior Nationals, Collegiate Biathlon National Championships and Spring Festival March 26-30. The event will welcome all youth, junior, senior, para and masters athletes, and will serve as National Championships for our collegiate and senior athletes, many of whom will be coming directly from IBU World Cup 9 in Oslo, Norway.
Crosscut Mountain Sport Center’s brand new venue is home to one of our most active U.S. Biathlon clubs, and a new world class 30-point and 15-para-point biathlon range and incredible ski trail system. The club is thrilled about the opportunity to host the entire biathlon community for this important season finale for U.S. & North American biathletes! Recent host of the 2024 IBU World Cup, Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, in Midway, Utah will play host once again to key biathlon events this season, including the Fall Festival & International Team Trials, on roller skis, as well as Youth and Junior Nationals & International Team Trials on snow just before the New Year. Both events have experienced growth in participation numbers and much the same is expected this year at this exceptional venue. Combined with the previously announced 2025 U.S. Biathlon Masters Nationals & North American Championships at the new world class Ariens Nordic Center facility in Brillion, Wisconsin, the biathlon community is being offered a tour of some of the most notable biathlon facilities in North America.

Rollerski biathlon races for youth, junior, senior & masters athletes
The event results will be used to determine the international team heading to the on-snow training camp in Europe
U.S. Biathlon Youth and Junior Nationals & International Team Trials | December 27-31, 2024
Hosted by Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah
To maximize the number of youth & junior athletes competing for a National title, Youth/Junior International Team Trials will now double as U.S. Youth/Junior Nationals
Race results will also be used to determine the international racing rosters for Junior IBU Cup, Junior Open European Championships & Youth/Junior World Championships
U.S. Biathlon Masters Nationals & NorAm Masters Championships | February 14-16, 2025
Hosted by Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, Wisconsin
Set to bring the largest contingent of U.S. & Canadian masters athletes together to race a sprint, mass start & individual, with a bonus shootout
Masters athletes will have access to Ariens Nordic Centers world class facilities and amenities
U.S. Biathlon Senior Nationals & Spring Festival | March 26-30, 2025
Hosted by Crosscut Mountain Sports Center in Bozeman, Montana
This weekend will offer a three race format for youth, junior, senior, para & masters athletes with all participants racing for podium prizes and Senior athletes racing for National Championship medals and prize money
The sprint event will serve as the 2025 U.S. Biathlon Collegiate National Championships
All biathletes are encouraged to come and race alongside our best U.S. Biathlon World Cup & IBU Cup athletes at what is expected to be the largest gathering of the biathlon community once again!
