Kelsey started skiing when she was 5 and her family moved to the Methow Valley and continued skiing for the Methow Valley Nordic Team through high school. She first started doing biathlon her freshman year with Betsy Devin-Smith and Methow Valley Biathlon. After finding her passion for skiing in high school, Kelsey spent most of her senior year and a postgraduate year skiing and competing for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation in Ketchum, Idaho. After that she decided to go to college in Duluth, MN at the College of St. Scholastica where she could compete in skiing as well as DIII cross-country running. She took a brief break in school to ski with the Outdoor Sports Institute before returning to school in 2015.

After college, Kelsey joined the Craftsbury Green Racing Project and now lives and trains in Craftsbury, Vt. She loves being part of the small Craftsbury community and balancing sport and life with a wonderful group of dedicated teammates. When she isn't training or working at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, Kelsey loves to explore the greater area of the Northeast Kingdom and the White Mountains.

Did you know...?
My dream vacation spot is… hiking volcanoes and skiing in Iceland.
My favorite meal is… anything my mom cooks.
If I were not an athlete, I would... be a mountain guide back home in Winthrop, WA.
